The Autumn Essential Bundle: 5 Oils to help you stay grounded this season

The Autumn Essential Bundle: 5 Oils to help you stay grounded this season

Essential Oils

As the days shorten and the Irish air turns cold and damp, our skincare and self-care routines need a bit of extra support. The SOiL Organics autumn essential oil bundle brings together five organic oils and blends chosen for exactly this shift in season, helping you breathe easier through cold-and-flu season, stay emotionally grounded as routines change, and keep your skin glowing even as the weather turns against it. Every oil in the set is grown and harvested on our family farm in Zululand, South Africa, and certified 100% natural and organic to the Ecocert COSMOS Organic standard, with Fair Trade certification to the Fair for Life standard.

What’s in the Autumn Essential Oil Bundle?

The SOiL Organics bundle brings together five products: Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Eucalyptus smithii Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, the De-Stress Remedy Roller, and Rosehip Oil. Buying them as a set also works out better value than picking up each product separately. Here’s why each piece earns its place in an autumn routine, and how to use it.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Sweet Orange has a warm, fresh, fruity aroma with an instantly refreshing effect – one of the most reliable mood-lifters in aromatherapy. Skin-wise, it’s useful for treating dry skin and renewing a dull complexion, which makes it a natural fit for autumn, when shorter days and central heating start to flatten both mood and skin tone.

How to use it: Add 4-6 drops to a diffuser for an uplifting start to the day, or blend into a carrier oil (see the application guide below) for a facial oil that targets dullness. Because citrus oils like Sweet Orange can increase skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, save topical use for evening application rather than before time outdoors.

Eucalyptus smithii Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

This is the oil to reach for as sniffles start doing the rounds. Eucalyptus smithii is well suited to massage blends and steam inhalations, and it’s specifically useful for colds and flu – exactly the seasonal complaints autumn brings with it.

How to use it: For a steam inhalation, add 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water, drape a towel over your head, and breathe deeply for a few minutes (keep eyes closed). For a chest rub, dilute in a carrier oil and massage into the chest and upper back. It also works well diffused in a room where someone is under the weather.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense is prized for dry and mature skin, and it’s said to help preserve a youthful complexion and prevent wrinkles, alongside a long history of use for its general healing properties. As autumn air gets drier and colder, skin loses moisture faster, making this an ideal time to bring a richer, restorative oil into the routine.

How to use it: Blend into a facial oil or moisturiser, or add to a carrier oil for a slow, grounding facial massage before bed. Frankincense also diffuses beautifully as a calming, woody base note in the evening.

De-Stress Remedy Roller

De-stress Remedy Roller for Autumn

This one comes ready-blended: organic Grapefruit, Clary Sage, Cypress and Cedarwood essential oils, pre-diluted in jojoba oil in a convenient roll-on format. It’s designed to reduce tension and restore calm to both mind and body – useful any time, but especially as autumn brings a return to routine and the seasonal dip in mood that can come with shorter daylight hours.

How to use it: Because it’s already diluted, it’s ready to roll straight onto pulse points – wrists, temples, back of the neck – whenever tension builds. No mixing required.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip Carrier Oil for Autumn

Rosehip is the bundle’s carrier oil, and it’s a powerhouse in its own right: it’s used to treat scarring and to reduce wrinkles and other signs of premature ageing, particularly the kind caused by sun damage from the summer just gone. It absorbs well and pairs naturally with the other carrier oils and essential oils in this set.

How to use it: Apply a few drops directly to clean skin, morning or night, focusing on scars, fine lines, or areas of sun damage. It also works as the carrier for the diluted blends described below.

Application guide: Using essential oils topically

Sweet Orange, Eucalyptus and Frankincense are all essential oils, which means they’re highly concentrated and shouldn’t go directly onto skin undiluted. A simple routine keeps this safe and effective:

1. Choose your carrier. Rosehip Oil (already in the bundle) or another carrier oil like jojoba works well. Never apply neat essential oil to skin.

2. Dilute properly. For body use, a standard dilution is around 2-3 drops of essential oil per teaspoon (5ml) of carrier oil. For facial use, go lighter – 1 drop per teaspoon is plenty, since facial skin is more sensitive.

3. Patch test first. Apply a small amount of the diluted blend to your inner forearm and wait 24 hours before using it more broadly, especially if it’s your first time using a particular oil. For general guidance, see the Tisserand Institute’s essential oil safety resources.

4. Mind the sun with citrus oils. Sweet Orange can make skin more reactive to sunlight, so apply it in the evening or keep treated skin covered if you’re heading outdoors.

5. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes, and keep any topical blend away from broken or irritated skin.

6. Check with a healthcare provider first if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a medical condition, before introducing new essential oils into your routine.

Used this way, the autumn essential oil bundle covers the season from every angle – respiratory support when colds strike, an emotional reset for busier days, and skin care that actually accounts for what autumn does to your complexion. And since it’s priced below buying all five individually, with free shipping included, it’s an easy way to stock an autumn routine in one order. Shop the Autumn Essential Bundle here.
